Web Casino Online Roulette Strategy
Real Roulette strategy is based on knowing your odds and payouts and placing your bets accordingly. While there are occasional rumors of Roulette workers being able to influence the wheel, or Roulette wheels that are unbalanced, these are never borne out in real life, and in web casinos online, it is a moot point anyway, since it is done with software.
That said, there is no sense in using the various betting strategies you might see advertised in an attempt to make more money betting on Roulette. Betting strategies such as the "doubling up" system are easily debunked with fairly elementary mathematics.
The simplest strategy for Roulette in a web casino online or on land is, if you have the chance choose a European Roulette wheel. While American Roulette wheels have 38 numbers (0-36, and "00"), European Roulette wheels only have 37, because they don't have the "00." The house edge on American Roulette wheels is greater than with European ones, and both pay out at a maximum of 35:1.
Here are some elementary Roulette betting strategies.....
Remember that 0 and 00 are neither odd nor even. The only way to win on 0 or 00 is to be specifically on them, or on a "First Five" bet. The First Five bet is not a good one, because on American Roulette wheels the house edge rises from 5.26% to 7.89%. However, if you bet on 0 or 00 alone and win, it pays out at 35 to 1.
Stick to the web casino's table minimum bets, and stick with your 2:1 or 1:1 bets. The 2:1 bets are 1-12, 13-24, and 25-36. The 1:1 bets are even, odd, black, red, 1-18, and 19-36.
This next strategy is a good one for a one-time bet.
Assuming the table minimum is 10 Euro, place 10 Euro on a 2:1 bet (say, 1-12) and 10 Euro on a 1:1 bet (say, odd).
The possible outcomes are:
- 1,3,5, 7,9,11 gets you 2:1 and 1:1 (You're ahead by 30 Euro)
- 2,4,6,8,10,12 gets you 2:1, but you lose 1:1 (still up by 10 Euro)
- 13,15,17 ... 35, gets you 1:1, but you lose your 2:1 (come out even)
- 14,16,18 ... 36, 0,00 you lose both (You lose 20 Euro)
Therefore, you'll lose your 20 Euro are if the ball lands on: 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 0, 00 or 14/38 times.
You'll come out even or better are if the ball lands on: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31, 33, 35, or 24/38 times.
Keep in mind that whether you're playing at a web casino online or on land, the more likely you are to win, the more you risk relative to the reward. Also, if you do this 10 times, your chance of making a profit drops to just over 46%, and if you do it 100 times, the probability of making a profit drops to just under 25%.
Remember there is no way to beat a Roulette wheel in a land casino or a web casino online over the long term. The house edge is always there.
